Akai MX76 MIDI Master Keyboard

The instrument

The MX76 was the first master keyboard controller from Akai in 1989. Its name is derived from the keyboard with keys (E - G), which has a dynamic velocity key pressure function.

Details

The MX76 Midi Master Keyboard has four so-called "libraries" with four key groups each to program the different parameters. They can be used individually or in combination. The parameters include: distribution on the keyboard, assignment of sounds, connection of a frequency generator, velocity, which is assigned to 8 velocity curves, aftertouch via an expander, pitch and modulation knobs, four programmable sliders for four foot pedals and four buttons.
