The instrument
Just one year after the successful launch of the A 36 tape recorder, an improved version followed with the B 36. The installation of a separate sound head for playback made it possible to control the backing tape during recording. Compared to its predecessor, an additional, adjustable radio input was also installed. This extended the mixing options. The device displays exact specifications for synchronisation fluctuations. They amounted to a maximum of 0.3% at 19 cm/s, which was just above the value of the hi-fi standard DIN 45500, which was introduced ten years later. Serial numbers 2500 - 7500 were produced.
