Curious about electronic music? We're launching a series of hands-on workshops built around the instruments and stories of our collection. Explore how sound is made, how electronic music evolved, and what it actually feels like to make it yourself, with your own hands, on the real machines. All levels welcome, no experience needed.
What if you could make music by drawing? In this workshop, participants use pencils and paper to create sounds and rhythmic structures, literally sketching their way into synthesis. Simple to start, surprisingly deep to explore.

The theremin is a simple yet mysterious instrument, now a century old. Played without touch, controlled by the movement of your hands through the air. This workshop is an invitation to try it for yourself.
Who are these workshops made for?
How long is a workshop? Each workshop lasts approximately two hours.
Do I need any musical experience? Not at all. Level 1 workshops are designed for complete beginners: all you need is curiosity. Level 2 is for participants who have already done Level 1, or who already have some familiarity with the subject and want to go further.
How many participants can join? Our workshops are designed for groups up to 15 people.
How much does it cost? Pricing varies depending on the format, group size, and whether the workshop takes place at smem or at your location. Contact us for a quote we're happy to discuss options.
Can you come to us? Yes. Our workshops are built to travel. We can bring the experience to your school, institution, or venue.
Are the workshops available in French and German? Yes. All three workshops are offered in English, French, and German.
