The instrument

The FP-8 digital piano appeared in 1991 in three colors: red, white and grey. It was an alternative to acoustic pianos thanks to its 88 velocity-sensitive and weighted keys, which were completely free of springs.

Details

The sound generation of the FP-8 is based on Advanced SA synthesis. The piano is polyphonic: 28-voice polyphonic and has 16 sounds, layer sounds and transpose and four reverb and four chorus variants for effects. The sequencer is single-track and stores a song with a maximum of 4,500 notes. There are built-in speakers, 2 x 5 cm and 2 x 10 cm and an amplification of 2 x 10 watts. The connections are for MIDI In / Out / Thru, tuning, two pedals, power supply with switch.
