The instrument
The DJX-II is a groove machine and entry-level keyboard designed for techno and dance music. Its features include an integrated 8-bit sampler and Yamaha's AWM synthesis technology for sounds. As the model was designed especially for DJs, the buttons are primarily used to select patterns. However, sounds or drums can also be played via the keyboard.
Details
The DJX-II is 32-voice polyphonic and polyphony: 32-voice and 16-fold multitimbral. It has 700 preset patterns and variations, 50 user patterns and variations as well as a scratch pad with 74 preset kits. The dynamic filter has cutoff, resonance and cross fader. The digital effects are Live Effector (10 presets), 11 x Reverb, 7 x Chorus, EQ Key Shifter (transposition), Tap Tempo, Audio BMP Counter. Two speakers and a 6 W amplifier are built in.
