Guided tours
A public guided tour of the Schaulager is offered every Saturday and Sunday at 15:00. No booking is required — just come by. On Sundays we open at 14:00, so you have time to play the instruments in the Playroom before the tour, at the same price. If needed, there is also the possibility to ask for a private tour or a group visit during weekdays. During the tour, you will learn about the origins and history of the collection and gain an insight into the history of electronic music instruments through some of its famous pieces.
Practical informations
Each guided tour lasts approximately one hour. The entrance is free for anyone under the age of 16. We also offer a special Extended Tour which consists in a two-hour guided tour of the SMEM, where your time can be freely divided between exploring the Schaulager and using the instruments in the Playroom (on demand).
