Hohner Melody Analog Transistor Organ

The instrument

The analogue Hohner Melody Transistor Organ from 1972 is a simple, portable instrument with 49 keys and a built-in loudspeaker. It was probably only produced in small numbers. It is possible that it was a collaboration with the Italian company Logan, with whom the Melody String Organ was launched in 1973. The Melody II is a heavy version of the organ in wooden furniture.

Details

For the sound, the Melody has three sections for 6 voices (2 x flute, trombone, clarinet, bassoon, violin) and vibrato, presets (piano, chord, tone and sustain) and 6 rhythms. These divisions each have their own knob for the volume or the speed of the rhythm.
