The sonic archive documents an underwater laboritory in operation from multiple perspectives: the immediate acoustic environment through a high-resolution hydrophone, the electrical power drain of the observatory station with all its installed components, as well as the changing electromagnetic fields within the underwater box and right next to a picture-taking camera.
The archive is an initiative of the sound artist Valentina Vuksic. It is published for the first time and will continue to record for multiple more years into the future. The beginnings of the archive date back to 2012. The 2012-2017 update is currently in progress.
All the sources are rendered audible without any further processing.
