The instrument
The EPS-1 is a combination of electronic piano and string synthesiser with 76 keys, 6½ octaves and six voices. It is partly derived from Korg's Symphonic Piano series.
Details
The EPS-1 offers six tones for the piano section with a three-way equaliser, Presence, Key Dynamics as well as Chorus and Tremolo, which can be used together. Key Dynamics increases the range of variation of the velocity-sensitive keyboard. The string synthesiser includes a single string sound with a two-way equaliser, attack and release as well as key dynamics and controls from -5 to +5 for bass and treble. Transpose is used for the entire keyboard.
