Boss GE-10 10-Band Graphic Equalizer

The instrument

The Boss GE-10 Graphic Equaliser, which was produced between 1976 and 1977, is a 10-band EQ pedal with comprehensive frequency control. It covers 10 frequencies from 31 Hz to 16 kHz and offers an amplitude range of ±12 dB per band, allowing for precise sound shaping. Features include a bypass switch, an output gain of up to 15 dB and an input for an external footswitch.

Details

An equaliser or EQ is a filter for shaping sound by amplifying and reducing frequency ranges and for equalising sound frequencies. In a graphic equaliser, each frequency band is assigned its own control so that the course of the frequency correction is represented ‘graphically’ by the controls.
