The instrument

The REV-7 Reverberator is a 2U rack unit that includes pre-delay control, EQ, filters and effects, as well as a variety of different types of reverb, echo, delay and ambient patches.

Details

The REV-7 has 30 presets and 60 user programmes. The reverberation time (RT) on the mid-band is 0.3 to 9.9 sec, for high frequencies 0.03 to 9.9 sec, for low frequencies 0.12 to 23.7 sec. The initial delay is 0 to 99.9 ms, the first reflection 0 to 99.9 ms, the reverb bandwidth 20 Hz–12 kHz, the dynamic range reverb 78 dB / delay: 84 dB.
When a signal is fed into the REV-7 reverb generator via the jacks or XLRs, it is processed with an EQ, measured and routed to an analogue-to-digital converter. Any stereo signal is mixed to mono before being processed for reverb. The effect is then generated in the digital signal processor. The 30 preset programs can be modified to create effects that are stored in the 60 user program memory locations. The presets contain up to seven variable parameters. The REV-7 also features a built-in 3-band parametric equaliser with overlapping frequency ranges (50–700 Hz; 350–7 kHz; 2–20 kHz).
